Our Guardian Home Program

Our Guardian Home Program is designed for individuals, couples, or families who would love to welcome a high-quality Havanese into their home without paying the full purchase price.

I occasionally retain a promising puppy for my show and breeding program. This puppy is placed at no cost with an approved guardian family, who provides her with a loving, permanent home. In return, I retain the right to show and breed her approximately three to four times. All puppies from these litters belong to me.

Beginning around two years of age, she will typically stay with me for approximately seven weeks per year while raising her puppies. I cover all breeding-related expenses, vaccinations, and prenatal care until she retires. The guardian family and I share the cost of her insurance policy.

During her show career, the guardian family is responsible for keeping her at a healthy weight and maintaining her coat in show condition. Once she has completed showing, she may be kept in a comfortable puppy cut.

After she completes the agreed-upon litters, full ownership is transferred to her guardian family, provided all terms of the agreement have been fulfilled.

Guardian families must live within a few hours of Ocala, Florida, and be willing to meet halfway whenever she needs to return to me.
